Be patient. I also have a full-time job. And I run - a lot.
This all started with some snacks. It grew to something beyond what I could have imagined. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. The current social media platforms I use don't allow for long-form storytelling. This is where those stories are going to live. This is where you'll be able to support the Beaverton Education Foundation through direct donations or Deputy Dog Radar plushy purchases. This is where you're going to be able to buy merch. Stay tuned.
Radar is retired - I am not. Radar whines a lot when I'm getting dressed for work, but he always whined a lot when I got dressed for work. I used to put him in my patrol car so I wouldn't have to listen to it. Now I have to listen to it. Once I'm gone, he's fine. I retired Radar for two main reasons.
Bulleit is named after my favorite bourbon at the time we rescued him. I no longer drink alcohol, but it's still a rad dog name. He's never been, and never will be, a police dog. He was my running partner until he broke his leg and severed a tendon in his knee trying to murder a squirrel.
Phoebe is our long-term foster. She's mostly pit bull terrier with some boxer, husky, lab, chow, and cattle dog thrown in if you can believe DNA testing. We'll give her back when my daughter lives somewhere that allows dogs like Phoebe. Until then, Phoebe is my four-legged running partner.
Havoc is a toy Australian shepherd. She's in charge and all of the other dogs know it. We got Havoc as a puppy in 2009 after our neighbor introduced us to her sister - Chaos. She's deaf, can't see very well, and is missing a lot of teeth. When she's not sleeping you can find her staring at the wall.
